These are just basic ranks that will soon go into more diverse ranks c:

Pack Ranks

Kahu
They lead packs and are the top boss in packs and on the site. They have the power to ban, delete you, and more.

Kahuna
They are the moderators of the pack and site, making sure everyone follows the rules. They are 2nd in charge, if the Kahu dies then the Top Kahuna become the next Kahu. You can tell who the 'top' Kahuna is by simply clicking this group on the forum's home, which is located nearly the bottom of the home page. The monitor of that group is the 'Top' Kahuna.

Kōkua
They are the healers in the pack. They make sure that wolves who are sick are treated and well cared for. They have knowledge in herbal knowledge and illnesses, the skilled can easily detect changes in other wolf's temperature or other things such as internal bleeding or infecting. Due to their keen since of smell.

Mālama
They are the guardians of the pack. Sent as guards or protectors on rare missions. Some are chosen to stand out side the camp and guard it all night. To become a Mālama the wolf must have a year of training in his/her rank of either Akamai or Koa.

Akamai
They are the scouts and look outs of the pack. They tell the pack of invaders, trespassers, dangers, and more. They also spy on other packs, only experienced Akamai's are allowed to do this however. Newly appointed Akamais may be found and killed or poisoned, so it is very important for them to never be seen, never be heard, and never be scented.

'Olelo &/or Kilo
These wolves have two important jobs. They are the messengers within a pack. Usually only two but never more then five. They cross into other pack territories to deliver messages to other packs, or simply send messages within the pack quickly. These wolves are very swift or have lots of stamina and can cover miles quickly without tiring. They also are Kilo or Watch, they keep track of what's going on around them and report it to both the Kahu and/or the  Kahuna. One or two even travel days from the pack to new lands and report back. They report specious activity within the pack and outside the pack. In order to become one of these wolves one must be brave, loyal, truthful, and fast or have lots of stamina.

Koa
They are the Warriors of the pack. First in choice to go into battle, they also hunt when no battles are going on or patrol the territory. Some pups/wolves chosen to join these ranks are great hunters, or at least will be. They are the ones most Kahunas or Kahus send out to hunt for the pack, they also patrol. However all-most every Koa will be chosen to attend or go on patrols, as well as lead them. This also includes hunting parties, however most of the time. A Kahu will once in a while call a hunt, which is a big deal. Since those who excels in the commands given or at the hunt can be promoted. Even if they are not Koas.

Hahai
These are the hunters within a pack, although the packs typically hunt together. When they are lazy or prefer not to hunt. They call upon these wolves to get the job done. They usually hunt small things for the pack when bored, however when the Kahu or Kahuna send them out on organized missions to bring down prey. They do their job, these wolves will then howl to tell the pack where the carcass is located and that they have killed a prey animal. The pecking order doesn't allow the hunters to eat first, however a Kahu or Kahuna may invite them to eat with them. Other wise they have to wait until the Koas have eaten their fill.

Kowal
They are black-smiths with-in the pack, providing armor for the pack, as well as weapons.

Hāpai
They are mothers of pups younger then 4 months of age. Mothers will be watched over by Mālama and the Kōkua, as well as other Hāpai's. Not all Hāpai's have to be pregnant, some stay in this rank once they have their first litter. They adopt or foster pups until they turn 4 months. They are also the ones everyone comes to, to watch their pups. Rarely will a male join these ranks, and that would only be to foster, adopt, or to pup-sit pups. They also are the ones who help the pups get designed for their ceremony of becoming a Kolohe.

Kupuna
They are the elders of the pack. Either made this by old age or by injury, they tell stories to young Keiki about the pack or legends.

Palapu
Most wolves that become this rank may have disabilities and can not help contribute to the pack, although most are retired to the elders rank, these wolves where usually born with the disabilities or earned them before they completed their rank training. Others are assigned this rank until they heal and can return to their rank duties. Most wolves who have this rank are trained to live/coup with their injuries before being assigned another rank or retired to the elders. with These wolves may be in constant care of the pack's healers and the pack. They are usually the first to eat, along with the Kahu's of a pack. Although some Kahus will wait until all Palapu have eaten before they eat.

Kolohe
They are apprentices, being trained by assigned teachers. Their training starts at the age of 4 months and lasts for up to 1 year.

Keiki
They are off-spring of the age newborn to 4 months. After they become 4 months they will be sent to a Kumu, a teacher, to be trained for their rank. This training will last 1 year.

Malihini
They are newcomers of the pack. Staying this rank until trained properly in their profession. They will be given a Kumu just like the Kolohe, once they earn their rank they will move up to their new rank.

Muli
The Muli are the omegas of the pack, they are usually last to eat unless they ask/beg/request to eat with certain ranks. Smaller meals enjoyed by the pack can safely be understood that they probably won't get a chance to eat. They are usually the most submissive, timid, sheepish, shy of the pack. Some may be kind, others sheepish bullies. Other than their behavior they may get this rank from being born weak or those that can not find their place among the ranks.

Lalo
They are the punished within the pack. Doing unpleasant chores all day, some tend to bully these wolves. As they have broken many rules, important rules, or have betrayed the pack. It will be harder for them to fit in and earn their old rank back.

Labels
These labels will be put onto your user if you are one of the following...

‘Aumakuas
These are the wolves who watch over all. Each having a purpose, they are sort of like that of Gods. However they do not consider themselves as gods merely protectors, they are immortal and are Very large once on this land they usually shrink to look normal. --> They can

  • Have pups

  • Have a Normal, Elemental, or Candisaumakua mate

  • Live amongst 'normal', elemental, or Candisaumakua wolves for a short period of time.

  • Visit Kupuna wolves but cannot stay four (4) days.

  • Speak with your Candisaumakua children threw thoughts. If they ask a question such as who are you then do not answer. You cannot hear their words aloud but threw thought.

They Cannot

  • Stay with their Candisaumakua pups once they reach 6 months, they must leave them and never return.

  • Lead a pack, you would have to leave in order to stay a 'Aumakua.

Candisaumakua
These wolves are part ‘Aumakua and half "normal" wolf. They where usually brought up by one parent or none at all. Maybe by a pup-sitter. Once a ‘Aumakua made a pup they have to leave them in order to stay immortal. Each wolf has one 'power' or 'strength' such as grow wings, fly without wings, hurricane winds, large teeth, etc. ---> Other off-spring such as wolves with Elemental and ‘Aumakua parents would be called Candisaumakental. A wolf whose parents are ‘Aumakua and Candisaumakua, are called Candisaumadis. If your parent is a ‘Aumakua and a Dire then they are called Candisaumadire.

Kupuna
These wolves live in CandisLani (wolf heaven), they are the ancestors of the pack and often send the healer, beta, or alpha messages threw dreams or visions.

Elementals
These wolves have a power of elements, some powers are rarer then the rest. ---> Elements from rarest to common can be found here.

Guardians
These creatures are not wolves at all, among wolves they take the shape of wolves. So you can call them shape-shifter, but no they only transform into two different creatures. One is always a wolf, the other they where born as, such as dragon, mountain lion, cat, dog, bird, lion, tiger, horse, deer, etc. In the eyes of the wolf they 'appear' as if they are wolves. The reason they are called "Guardians" is because they choose one wolf (mostly a "special" wolf, such as one who is in a Prophecy) to look after. Some owe it to the wolf's mother or father, to watch after the wolf. Most are best friends of the wolf they watch. They only let the wolf see their true forms rarely.

True Guardians
Theses creatures are older than most Guardians and are immortal, just like the Guardians. However these shape-shifters depending on age can have up to 20 shift-able animals. They can even change their animal that they want to shape into with just a mouthful of blood or meat from that animal. So yes they must kill the animal that they want to shift into, however they cannot get over 20 available shifting positions. 2 are unchangeable, meaning if they die in that form they die for real. Those two are wolf and their birth animal. So they try and stay away from those forms, to get rid of a animal shape slot, they must die in that form and kill in either their wolf or birth animal form. Most "True" Guardians are born in an endangered, extinct, or mythical animal form. Their meaning in life is to guard over every living creature, Guardians, and especially wolves. They walk the Wolf Lands and the Dead Lands at times. Doing sacred work for the ‘Aumakua and Kupuna. If a true guardian dies it will be trapped in the Kupuna world and if worthy the ‘Aumakua world. Where they may be sent back down to the Wolf Lands as a Guardian where they must find a special wolf or a wolf they have been sent to protect.

Dires
These wolves are large and can easily kill a Normal. They have less stamina then normals but who needs stamina when you got a pack of these large and cleaver canines?

Normals
These wolves do not have any powers and are just regular wolves. They have much better stamina then Dires, making them have a better chance at out running things and chasing down things.

Rank Labels
